Humsafar Policy For Highways: There are total 600 national highways in India. On which thousands and lakhs of people travel every day. Many difficulties arise while traveling on the highway. Many times the health of drivers suddenly deteriorates. So sometimes some such things become necessary. Which is very difficult to find on the middle highway.
But now traveling on the highway will be like traveling in a city. Where you will definitely get all the facilities. For this, the Government of India has started Humsafar Policy. Under which now the drivers will get all the necessary facilities on the highway. Which will make their journey easier. Let us tell you what is the new Humsafar policy of the government.
Passengers will get these facilities on the highway
Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari implemented Humsafar Policy in India on 8 October. While implementing it, Nitin Gadkari said that its objective is to provide pleasant and safe journey to the people. Under this Humsafar policy, four types of services will be provided to the drivers on the highway. In which there will be arrangements for restaurants, food courts and dhabas for eating and drinking. Along with this, there will be fuel stations at appropriate distances. People will get facilities like toilet, baby care room in the fuel station. Along with this, Trauma Center will also be established. Charging stations will also be built on the highway for passengers.

Facilities will be available at a distance of 40-60 kilometers
Now if anyone travels on the highway. So generally he gets the facilities of public facilities at a considerable distance. But now not side amenities will be included under Humsafar policy. Which will be built at a distance of 40-60 kilometers throughout the highway. Dhabas, restaurants and petrol pumps already present on the highway have also been brought under the ambit of this Humsafar policy. With this new policy of the government, people will get a better environment for road travel. At the same time, this policy will also open doors for business and new employment opportunities will be created for the people.

Facilities will be found in villages and towns
Earlier, there used to be toilets and good food courts on the highways and on the borders of cities. But under this policy, now people on the highway will be able to get all the facilities on the roads passing through villages and towns. People who will be given licenses to operate these facilities. The government will renew them after reviewing them every two years.
